Key facts
What should you verify first?
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Vehicle file | Stock ID, grade, chassis code, production timing |
| Destination file | Country, port, consignee, eligibility, inspections |
| Cost file | FOB price, validity, freight, insurance, exclusions |
| Payment file | Invoice, verified bank details, transfer proof |
| Status of this guide | Preparation only, not tax, customs or legal advice |
- Record the stock ID, maker, model, grade and chassis code before anything else. Add production timing, first-registration date where available, mileage, steering side, fuel, transmission and drive type. Do not prepare against a generic model description: the file must describe one car, not a nameplate.
- Record the destination country, discharge port and consignee details, then check current requirements with the relevant authority. Eligibility, steering rules, pre-export or destination inspections and clearing contacts all belong to this file. Confirm them before payment, not after the vehicle has been booked.
- A vehicle price is not automatically a landed price, so mark the quoted basis and list the exclusions. Record the FOB vehicle price and quote validity, the freight and any requested marine insurance, and the inspection, handling and document charges the quotation actually includes.
- Use only the bank details shown in your verified WI Car Export instructions, and confirm any change through a known contact before sending funds. Keep the invoice, the vehicle stock ID, your account-name verification, the transfer reference and the written confirmation from the export desk together.
