Generation and grade change the specification
Toyota introduced the first Aqua in 2011 and launched the second generation in Japan on 19 July 2021. At launch, the second generation used a 1.5-litre hybrid system with FWD and E-Four choices, and Toyota Safety Sense was standard. The bipolar battery and Power+ mode were fitted to grades other than B.

Scope note
A specific second-generation reference
Toyota’s Japan catalogue lists the Aqua G FWD sold from July 2021 to November 2022 as chassis 6AA-MXPK11, five seats, 4,050 mm long, 1,695 mm wide and 1,485 mm high, with a 2,600 mm wheelbase and 5.2 m minimum turning radius. Those figures are grade- and period-specific.
