Used Toyota Prius cars from Japan
Prius specifications change across generations and grades. Start with current stock, then verify what belongs to the exact chassis and production period.
Decision brief
Do not treat “2023 Prius” as one specification
Toyota launched the fifth-generation Prius HEV in Japan on 10 January 2023. Its launch range included 1.8-litre X and U grades and 2.0-litre G and Z grades, with FWD and E-Four configurations. That makes the model year alone an incomplete buying description.
- 01Exact grade, chassis code and production month
- 021.8-litre or 2.0-litre system where applicable
- 03FWD or E-Four, plus wheel and equipment differences
- 04Auction-sheet condition, mileage and the itemised export quote

Scope note
A specific earlier-generation reference
For scale only, Toyota’s Japan catalogue lists the Prius S Safety Plus II FWD sold from June 2021 to January 2023 as chassis 6AA-ZVW51, five seats, 4,575 mm long, 1,760 mm wide and 1,470 mm high, with a 2,700 mm wheelbase and 5.1 m minimum turning radius. Those figures do not describe every Prius.
