What does the steering filter actually check?
The left-hand-drive search looks for explicit English steering phrases in the supplier's grade or description text. Listings without those phrases may be missed, including cars described differently or with incomplete information. The opposite filter excludes those phrases; it does not independently verify a right-hand-drive layout.
This explanation reflects our search implementation reviewed on 8 September 2026. Stock changes, and supplier descriptions vary. The number shown on a filtered results page is the number matching that search—not a measured share of Japan's used-car market.
How to verify a candidate before requesting a quote
- Open the listing and save its stock reference. Model names and brand badges are not evidence of steering position.
- Check a clear cabin photograph. If the photo is missing, unclear or inconsistent with the text, request an additional image rather than making an assumption.
- Ask the export desk to confirm the factory specification and any known conversion history for the particular vehicle.
- Have your destination authority or licensed import agent check whether that steering configuration can be imported and registered.
- Confirm availability, supporting documents, condition evidence and the written quote before paying.
Does being sourced from Japan guarantee condition?
No. Country of supply, marque, price and steering position do not establish maintenance quality, accident history or battery health. Request the evidence available for that car: original condition documents, service records, photographs and any agreed inspection. Do not infer a clean repair history from an empty field.
